Resignation from Volunteer Nelson Programme Leader Position – Holly Drummond

A message from Holly Drummond:

I resigned from Volunteer Nelson this month after years in the position. I’d had an extended period off for health reasons and made the call that I wasn’t quite ready to launch back into the work I had been doing.

I resigned from Volunteer Nelson this month after years in the position. I’d had an extended period off for health reasons and made the call that I wasn’t quite ready to launch back into the work I had been doing.

I won’t rush back into work but do have an idea of what I would like to do. I still have my governance position on the Youth Workers Collective Management Team and a new one on the Nelson Bays Primary Health Consumer Advisory Board representing in the area of Mental Health and Addictions.

I am honoured to have worked with great people in the community sector thus far and have thoroughly enjoyed our youth programmes, Youth in Emergency Services, Young Leaders with the Youth Work qualification and more recently Youth in Governance. Wellby has been a fun experience and I will probably still attend a regular Talking Cafe.

Thank you to the Volunteer Nelson team, the youth work contractors and Wellby team. You have supported me and enabled me to learn and develop, we’ve had lots of laughs as well. It’s been fun working in the Habitat Hub and getting to know the Habitat office crew too. I’ll miss everyone but I reckon I’ll pop into ReStore quite often.
