2024 Love Grace Handbag Appeal

Violence against women is not OK. Citizens Advice Bureau Nelson Tasman joined the Love Grace Appeal and is a collection point for handbags. Please view attached poster with suggestions of suitable items to put into a bag.
The appeal runs between 14.February and 9.March 2024.

Can you donate a handbag of essential items to show women who arrive at Women’s Refuge, that the people of Nelson Tasman care?
After Grace Millane was killed in Auckland by a man she met on a dating app, her family set up the ‘Love, Grace’ charitable appeal, to combine Grace’s love of handbags and their wish to help women fleeing violence.
CAB Nelson Tasman is a drop off point for handbags / sponge bags / essential items between Valentines Day (Feb 14) and International Women’s Day (March 9), and these will be donated to Nelson Women’s Refuge to support women who’ve often left in extreme circumstances and arrive with nothing.
Attached is a poster with suggestions of suitable items for your individual bag, and we’re happy to receive just the bags (new) or several items so we can fill them up.
