The Nelson Tasman Disability Providers Forum is an event with an overarching purpose of strengthening the sector to improve outcomes for the community.


The Nelson Tasman Disability Providers Forum is an event with an overarching purpose of strengthening the sector to improve outcomes for the community.

This event is intended for providers, organisations and groups that support individuals and their families with disabilities.

Kindra Douglas from Inspiring Communities will facilitate the event which will include two presentations from Whaikaha – The Ministry of Disabled People.  Presentations on Enabling Good Lives and it’s future direction.  Kindra will also facilitate sessions on sector collaboration and future opportunities.

The intended outcomes of the forum are:

  • To build and strengthen relationships across the sector
  • Share information –  Learn and korero with other organisations about the diverse range of supports in our region
  • Increase capacity and understanding of effective collaboration and identify opportunities to work better together
  • Brainstorm ideas and identify sector energy for regular collaborative events
  • and more…

Registrations will open from 9am with the event start time of 9.30am and finish at 12pm followed by a light kai.

An event schedule will be finalised and distributed closer to the event date.

Ticket numbers are limited to 3 per organisation.  Please get in touch if you require more.
