The Nelson Tasman Disability Providers Forum is an quarterly meeting with an overarching purpose of strengthening the sector to improve outcomes for the community.
This event is intended for providers, organisations and groups that support individuals and their families with disabilities.
Following feedback from our last meeting we will create a range of opportunities for sector networking along with presentations from Fire and Emergency NZ, The Buzz and the local Needs Assessment Service Coordination (NASC) team. More details on presentation content to come closer to the date.
Te Tauihu Strengthening the Sector Survey Report 2023
At the end of 2023, a survey was sent out to the community sector across Te Tauihu. The attached report summarises the responses from the 164 participants.

These findings can help direct sector priorities for 2024, including how we collaborate and share skills and resources, and where training and funding can be directed.

The survey was conducted by the Te Tauihu Strengthening the Sector Network, made up of support agencies including Department of Internal Affairs, Rātā Foundation, Marlborough District Council, Nelson City Council, Tasman District Council, Volunteer Nelson, Business Assist, Nelson Chamber of Commerce and the Te Tauihu Community Development Agency.
