Do you have excellent people and organisational skills, have a counselling background with at least 10 years’ experience post-study?  Are you keen to make a positive difference to the wellbeing of our local community? Are you passionate about passing on your knowledge, through mentoring counsellors in training? Then read on!

Local charity Life Linc Nelson has been serving the community with quality affordable counselling for over 20 years. Operations are run by our small part time team of three including Operations Manager, Counselling Manager and Community Liaison Administrator. This is a 40 hour per fortnight position with flexible hours, access to training package with laptop and mobile phone available.

Our service is delivered through a dedicated team of professional volunteer counsellors who work with couples and individuals.

As counselling manager, you will be responsible for the counselling service and its quality delivery, including:

* All client referrals & progress

*Mentoring the counsellor team, both in a group setting and 1:1

* Support, training, supervision & professional standards

* Relationships with the community and potential users of Life Linc’s services

You will need to demonstrate the following skills (amongst others):

* Excellent people & organisational skills

* Relevant knowledge of counselling/therapy theories and application

* Experience working as a counsellor

* Ability to work in a team, and uphold clear and professional boundaries
