Please note that most Work and Income service centres will be open for our normal business hours through the festive season, other than on weekends and statutory holidays. However, Tākaka's office will close until 8 January.
Human Books Needed
We are looking for people to become human books as part of a Living Library for Whakatū
In our living library, ‘books’ are real people from Whakatū , all of whom have their own story to tell. Borrowers are invited to check out a ‘book’ for a 15-minute conversation so you can get to know and better understand some of the diverse people living in our city. Descriptions of the books are available on our website along with information on how to reserve a time with one.
Tea and coffee will be provided along with ice-breaker questions to help make your experience comfortable. If you would like to be one of our living books, please get in touch by contacting [email protected]
Sunday 18 June, 1pm in the Elma Turner Pop-up Library.
