Bring along your own mahi or simply come as you are to meet and mingle with friends of the World Crafts Council and Mahi ā Ringa – Craft New Zealand Aotearoa. Whether you’re a craft enthusiast, a local maker, or just curious, this is the perfect opportunity to share ideas, build friendships, and celebrate the spirit of craftsmanship.
As part of the experience, enjoy a selection of short films about World Crafts Council events, one featuring Māori textile artist Hamuera Manihera from the vibrant Whakatū craft community, connecting on the global World Crafts Council stage. These films explore the rich stories, techniques, and heritage that unite makers across Aotearoa and the world.
Make this your lounge to relax, learn, and get inspired among a community that values the beauty and connectivity of work made by hand.
