Year 11 students from Nayland College's Foundation Certificate seeking volunteering opportunities that will allow hands-on experience that contribute to the community. We have around 22 students, and they are a mixture of 15-16-year-olds. We would be open to doing a full class at the same time or we could individualise to the different students. During school hours would be best but we can work around this if we need to. We can have 2 or 3 teachers there to support as well. HomeShare for Her was set up by a group of local women to help women navigate Nelson Tasman’s housing crisis through homesharing. The service is available to women in Nelson Tasman aged 18-70 plus. The Positive Ageing Expo is a free event celebrating healthy and happy ageing. Explore over 80 stalls with helpful information on health, legal advice, retirement living, home heating, social services, and more. There are some fun activities to try out like Tai Chi, line dancing, and e-biking, and a composting workshop… The Repair Café will also be there to fix your broken items free of charge!

TRANSPORT – The council has made it easier to get to their event!
There will be a free shuttle service running between the Richmond eBus Interchange and the Expo every 30 minutes from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm, with the final return shuttle at 12.45 pm. The Motueka Community Bus will arrive in Richmond at 10.30 am and depart at 2.00 pm – call the Motueka iSite to book your seat.
