Several key speakers have been invited to explain more about the poll, or referendum that is coming up in our local elections, and gain an insight into the role, benefits and myths around the Māori Ward Councillor role. People are welcome to come along in time for a cuppa and light refreshments at 5.30pm and speakers will begin from 6pm onwards.
Learn how to save a life this Shocktober with Hato Hone St John
Join a FREE session at the Elma Turner Library on Monday 21 October or Richmond Library on Wednesday 23 October to learn the 3 Steps to save a life when someone suffers an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
Every year over 2,000 New Zealanders suffer from a cardiac arrest (heart stoppage) outside of hospital care, with a majority happening in their own home. Sadly only 240 (11%) of those lives will be saved.
3 Steps for Life is a FREE one-hour CPR and AED education programme, designed to give all New Zealanders the confidence and awareness to act when someone suffers an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest by: 1. Calling 111 2. Starting CPR 3. Using an AED
Monday 21 October, 10.30am and 12noon (2 sessions) – Elma Turner Library
