Volunteering is a great way to build social connections and feel a part of your community. Volunteer Nelson has a new programme in partnership with the Multicultural Council to support migrants to volunteer.

As part of this there will be a support team or buddies to help. The role is flexible where buddies may support individuals to volunteer or help with group volunteering sessions when they are available. We need buddies of all ages and backgrounds, both migrants or from Aotearoa.

Our first buddy training is a chance to get to know each other a bit, discuss the programme, ways you can assist, cover some stuff to do with health & safety and have some food and conversation.
