Community Advocates Exhibition
Join us for the Community Advocates exhibition at Cultural Conversations This year, we are excited and grateful to partner once again with the Motueka Family Service Centre to run the Community Advocates campaign in the Nelson region. This public awareness initiative aims to promote positive messages about family safety through the voices of community figures.

Volunteer Nelson is now actively promoting the Found Directory (www.found.org.nz/) on Facebook (www.facebook.com/FOUNDdirectory) as part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness and increase visibility for the many valuable organisations listed.
Te Tauihu Volunteer Strategy
The Te Tauihu Volunteer Strategy has been proudly launched in Nelson at the Community and Whānau Hui. It was developed by community organisations, local Councils, inter-agency staff, and the wider community. Vision Everyone in Te Tauihu has easy access to a broad range of fulfilling volunteer work opportunities –to enrich their lives while contributing and connecting to their community. Goals The community has access to flexible, rewarding volunteer opportunities. Organisations are supported by people who contribute their time and expertise. Barriers to volunteering are identified and addressed. All formal and informal volunteering in our communities is recognised, valued and celebrated.

The directory offers exciting functionality, including events listings by region or interest and a free profile page for every member organisation.
The wide range of listed clubs and groups represents the extent and health of our community in the Nelson / Tasman region, whether it be culture, art, sport, recreation or welfare.
Volunteer Nelson were the proud winners of the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce 2018 Community Impact Award, this award recognises a programme, project, campaign or an overall business that has had, or continues to have, a positive impact on the Nelson Tasman community in a way that inspires others and makes a difference.
