Several key speakers have been invited to explain more about the poll, or referendum that is coming up in our local elections, and gain an insight into the role, benefits and myths around the Māori Ward Councillor role. People are welcome to come along in time for a cuppa and light refreshments at 5.30pm and speakers will begin from 6pm onwards.
SEEKING Youth Volunteering Opportunities
Year 11 students from Nayland College’s Foundation Certificate seeking volunteering opportunities that will allow hands-on experience that contribute to the community. We have around 22 students, and they are a mixture of 15-16-year-olds. We would be open to doing a full class at the same time or we could individualise to the different students. During school hours would be best but we can work around this if we need to. We can have 2 or 3 teachers there to support as well.
