Community and Whānau Network

Community & Whānau News

Community & Whānau News is a twice monthly newsletter administered by Volunteer Nelson, and is distributed on the first and third Tuesday’s of the month.  Anyone from a community organisation can submit their information about: news, events, meetings and training opportunities taking place across the Nelson Tasman region. Due to the size of the newsletter, your post will only appear for a maximum of two consecutive newsletters. Please resubmit to have your item included after this time.

If you subscribe to the news, you will also receive details about the monthly Community and Whānau Hui.

Proposed Nelson Tasman Community Development Agency

Community & Whanau Network Hui

The Community & Whanau (C&W) Nelson Network Hui are an opportunity for staff and volunteers from community organisations to get together on a monthly basis.  These meetings provide a forum where issues, ideas or projects of interest can be raised and discussed, and valuable information, ideas and strategies shared.

Please contact [email protected] with Community & Whānau in the subject line if you require any further information, or to register your interest to speak at or facilitate at a hui.  We email out a reminder a week before each meeting and notes are usually sent out within ten days of the hui.  Subscribe to the Community and Whānau News above and you will receive both the newsletter and the reminders for the hui.

The Community and Whānau Nelson Network Hui will be held as hybrid (in person and on Zoom) where possible.  The hui location is The Habitat Hub/Restore, located at 166 Tahunanui Drive, Tahunanui.   Please sign up to our newsletter for the Zoom link if you wish to attend online.  Sign up to the hui invites (including any changes), notes and newsletter here
