Governance Bites – Setting Strategy: The Board’s Role

May 2, 2019 @ 5:15 pm - 7:00 pm

Strategic direction setting is the role of the board, but how do you make it the board’s strategy, and not just them signing off what staff or others have come up with? Where does strategy come from, and what’s it got to do with our Vision, Mission and Theory of Change?

The session will be led by Garth Nowland-Foreman, an experienced trainer and facilitator, and non-profit governance expert. Garth is a director of the LEAD Centre for Not for Profit Governance and Leadership www.lead.org.nz.
