DESCRIPTION:Do you have a question about your non-profit board? In our final Governance Roundtable session\, Governance Guru\, Garth Nowland-Foreman will answer all your governance questions. Nothing is off-limits. If you have a question\, it will be helpful if you can email it to garth@lead.org.nz. But he will also answer questions on the spot – including anonymous questions. This is your chance to have that governance query or concern answered. \n\n\nThis session will be led by Garth Nowland-Foreman\, an experienced trainer and facilitator\, and non-profit governance expert. Garth is a director of the LEAD Centre for Not for Profit Governance & Leadership www.lead.org.nz\, and led the recent Governance Bites series in Nelson. The Governance Roundtables offers a deeper dive on the practicalities of common non-profit board dilemmas and issues. DESCRIPTION:Young Change Makers is an interactive learning forum\, empowering young people to take initiative in community action\, leadership and governance. Join in for a day of inspirational workshops\, discussions and presentations for young community leaders to connect on and support in the regions reboot. \nAlong to give a key note address at this years event is Golriz Ghahraman MP. Golriz is an Iranian-born New Zealand politician and member of Parliament. The former United Nations lawyer was a child asylum seeker\, and became the first refugee elected to New Zealand’s Parliament. \nNelson Young Change Makers is free to attend with registrations taken through participating schools or register directly by emailing holly@volunteernelson.org.nz. The event is suitable for students in years 11-13.
