SUMMARY:Young Change Makers
DESCRIPTION:Young Change Makers is an interactive learning forum\, empowering young people to take initiative in community action\, leadership and governance. Join in for a day of inspirational workshops\, discussions and presentations for young community leaders to connect on and support in the regions reboot. \nAlong to give a key note address at this years event is Golriz Ghahraman MP. Golriz is an Iranian-born New Zealand politician and member of Parliament. The former United Nations lawyer was a child asylum seeker\, and became the first refugee elected to New Zealand’s Parliament. \nNelson Young Change Makers is free to attend with registrations taken through participating schools or register directly by emailing holly@volunteernelson.org.nz. The event is suitable for students in years 11-13.
