Gordon Oldfield
Assistant ManagerGordon is the Manager at Volunteer Nelson. He is originally from South Africa and has lived in Nelson with his wife and two children since 2007. As a pharmacist, he owned and managed a group of community pharmacies; however, sight loss has compelled Gordon to find a new direction. His professional and academic interest is now in health and disability services management. He has a particular interest in the role of volunteers in community organisations.
Gordon has a keen interest in politics particularly matters surrounding disability and other social justice issues. He can often be spotted walking in Nelson with his guide dog, Ernie.
Holly Drummond
Programme LeaderHolly has recently taken up the role of Programme Leader. Holly has been a long term volunteer with us as well as working for us part time. She’s writing some blurb about herself which we’ll add here soon.
Jane Solly
AdministratorShe is passionate about volunteering and has volunteered in a variety of roles both in Nelson and in the UK, ranging from office duties, gardening, pest monitoring, tree warden and bat conservation.
Jane is married with one daughter and enjoys fibre crafts, growing veggies and spending time with her family.
Belinda Harte
AdministratorKia-ora, my name is Belinda and I have started working at Volunteer Nelson in June 2015. After studying at the NMIT for the past 2.5 years I am very excited to have secured the position as part time Administrator for Volunteer Nelson. I am very passionate about volunteering and have been lucky in the past to volunteer for the ST Vincent De Paul, Annesbrook Church, Richmond School and various play groups. I am a “people person” and enjoy socializing, Ceroc dancing and spending time with my and two children.
