Family Violence Representative – RISE

We are seeking an experienced social services worker with a passion to improve the safety of families and our community. The role includes representing RISE working alongside other social services and government agencies that meets daily to assess risk and identify support for those experiencing and impacted by family violence.


 

 

Family Violence Prevention Representative

 

Do you want to improve the safety and wellbeing of members of the Nelson – Tasman community who have been impacted by family violence?

 

We want to inspire people especially users of violence, to make lifelong changes for themselves and their children.

 

We are seeking an experienced social services worker with a passion to improve the safety of families and our community. The role includes representing RISE working alongside other social services police and other partner agencies that meets daily to assess risk and identify best next steps supporting those experiencing and impacted by family violence.

 

Knowledge and skills in risk assessment, understanding of trauma and working with the dynamics that contribute to episodes of family violence are preferred. Good time management, administrative skills and ability to be self-directed are essential.  A background in social work or counselling would be an advantage however not essential to be considered for this role.
