nook. Cafe murals

Greg, nook.’s Manager, has been talking with local artist, Cristina Rule, to put up a great mural on the playground wall. Cristina grew up in Colombia surrounded by colours and the creative ways of expression found in her vibrant culture. She came to NZ in 2009 but only now started to really follow her real passion for design and is currently studying Arts and Media at NMIT.

Nook. wanted an interactive wall with vibrant colours and traditional bugs.

Stage one of the playground murals have been done mid-May and another stage is planned for late May. It looks so good, it has created a different place already. We can’t wait to see the final.
