Erika & CoCo Flash are bringing their Rainbow Storytime and Living Library sessions to Nelson!
Rainbow Storytime is a chance to hear books about acceptance, diversity, inclusion and being kind, play some fun games and meet some fabulous drag queens with plenty of colours and glitter! Open to children of all ages.
Living Library is designed around learning about how the duo became Erika & Coco, how they identify and is a chance to ask any questions you have about the LGBTQIA+ community.
Autumn Festival
At Waimarama Community Gardens in the Brook we think it’s time to share our lovely spot with you all so we are inviting you to our Autumn Festival on Mothers’ Day, Sunday 8th May.
At Waimarama Community Gardens we think it’s time to share our lovely spot with you all so we are inviting you to our Autumn Festival on Sunday 8th May.
It’s an opportunity to have a guided tour around the gardens, see our productive worm farms and buy worms for your home worm farm, see how we make healthy compost, how we save our seeds for the next season, buy some organically raised seedlings and other plants, buy organic produce, preserves, ferments, learn how to look after flax plants, how to make flax flowers, with the possibility of horse rides for the children. Relax in our lovely green space on Mother’s Day.
This is a fundraising event for the gardens, who rely heavily on donations from the public arena. Your contributions will be very much appreciated.
Note: in the event of wet weather this event will be postponed to the following Sunday May 15th.
