Erika & CoCo Flash are bringing their Rainbow Storytime and Living Library sessions to Nelson!
Rainbow Storytime is a chance to hear books about acceptance, diversity, inclusion and being kind, play some fun games and meet some fabulous drag queens with plenty of colours and glitter! Open to children of all ages.
Living Library is designed around learning about how the duo became Erika & Coco, how they identify and is a chance to ask any questions you have about the LGBTQIA+ community.
Quiet Hour
Our weekly Quiet Hour makes Elma Turner Library more accessible for people who find loud, busy spaces challenging.
Dimmed lighting, minimised sound, hushed voices so you can enjoy a Quiet Hour at the Elma Turner Library.
We are working towards making out library more welcoming for people with hypersensitive conditions such as anxiety, Autism, intellectual disabilities, dementia, or other neurodiverse conditions by making it a less stimulating environment.
Now, people with different needs have a time designed for them to visit the library to discover, learn, and create from everything the library has to offer.
