Erika & CoCo Flash are bringing their Rainbow Storytime and Living Library sessions to Nelson!
Rainbow Storytime is a chance to hear books about acceptance, diversity, inclusion and being kind, play some fun games and meet some fabulous drag queens with plenty of colours and glitter! Open to children of all ages.
Living Library is designed around learning about how the duo became Erika & Coco, how they identify and is a chance to ask any questions you have about the LGBTQIA+ community.
Centre Support Admin: Work with Women, in an organisation for Women
We are looking for an energetic Centre Support worker who can provide a warm, welcoming presence to the women who visit the Women’s Centre
This is a part time role, for 9 1/2 hours per week (2 or 3 days a week: Fridays 9-1pm, with other day/s to be discussed), as well as 1 hour per month to attend the NWC House Meeting.
The job includes the following responsibilities:
‘Front of House’ reception person for visitors, which includes answering phone calls, responding to enquiries, Op shop assistance
Workshops: Maintaining the workshop calendar and bookings
Picking up house supplies – ensuring items are topped up
Assist with fundraising events as appropriate
Participate in monthly NWC House meetings
Help ensure house is tidy
Other tasks as delegated by the Centre manager
Essential (highlights):
Interest in and commitment to contributing to a community agency working to empower women.
Calm and reassuring manner, particularly with highly emotive/potentially crisis situations.
Ability to communicate well (speaking and writing).
Is proactive, shows initiative and self-management skills.
