Nelson’s non-profit community groups can now apply for a helping hand from Nelson City Council’s Community Investment Fund.
The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary Events & Promotions team are looking for some passionate and outgoing volunteers who are interested in being more involved in their community. With some big plans and exciting events coming up, this is a great opportunity to join our growing team and act as an ambassador for the Sanctuary and it’s unique flora and fauna. Our first large event, Open Day is quickly approaching – so what better time than now to come onboard and join our family!
The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary is a thriving eco-sanctuary located close to Nelson city. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of New Zealand native bush, breathe deeply and engage. The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary is the largest fenced Sanctuary for endangered plants and creatures in the South Island, and we need your help!
We want to connect people (visitors, our staff and volunteers) with the natural world in a way that promotes environmental responsibility and contributes to the restoration of our local and national ecosystems. Our events and promotional activities are at the core of stimulating this connection.
We need you (as an individual, a group or a business) to help restore and care for our environment – become a Sanctuary volunteer and get involved in this community project.
