Erika & CoCo Flash are bringing their Rainbow Storytime and Living Library sessions to Nelson!
Rainbow Storytime is a chance to hear books about acceptance, diversity, inclusion and being kind, play some fun games and meet some fabulous drag queens with plenty of colours and glitter! Open to children of all ages.
Living Library is designed around learning about how the duo became Erika & Coco, how they identify and is a chance to ask any questions you have about the LGBTQIA+ community.
Neighbourhood Fund with Neighbourhood Support
Nelson City Council has given Top of the South Neighbourhood Support the opportunity to distribute their neighbourhood fund this year. These funds are available for projects that build stronger communities by bringing neighbourhoods together to enhance a local community, build resilience and connectivity, increasing neighbourliness and social cohesion.
Applications for matching funds of up to $500 can be made by informal and /or formal neighbourhood and community groups. Applications need to be received four weeks prior to the event happening.
Once the neighbourhood project budget has been spent, no further applications will be received.
