Erika & CoCo Flash are bringing their Rainbow Storytime and Living Library sessions to Nelson!
Rainbow Storytime is a chance to hear books about acceptance, diversity, inclusion and being kind, play some fun games and meet some fabulous drag queens with plenty of colours and glitter! Open to children of all ages.
Living Library is designed around learning about how the duo became Erika & Coco, how they identify and is a chance to ask any questions you have about the LGBTQIA+ community.
Family History Crafting
Do you have old blankets, jumpers, or even tablecloths lying around that you just can’t bear to throw away ? Transform them into a hot water bottle cover and decorate or make your own buttons with a family history month craft at the library.
Chilly winter nights are a great reason to snuggle up indoors with a good book. Make your own thrifty, cuddly hot-water bottle cover from upcycled fabrics such as wool blankets, jumpers – then decorate with vintage notions like doilies or make your own buttons from recycled linen.
