Connected and Elma Turner Library are partnering to create the Next Steps Careers and Training Expo, a one-day event focused on the Nelson area.
Jobseekers, people looking for a change, anyone impacted by COVID-19 and not sure what’s available, can talk to experts on how they could take their next step. Whether it’s advice on training, retraining or study options, financial support available, or how to upskill or step into a new career, attendees will be able to get this advice in one place.
On the day people will be able to receive advice on careers, CV writing, interview prep, information about courses, training pathways, pre-requisites required to move into working in certain industries and support available to help.
Anyone in the region thinking about changing their employment pathway and wondering what next steps they need to take to re-train, upskill or step into a new career should be there.
