Erika & CoCo Flash are bringing their Rainbow Storytime and Living Library sessions to Nelson!
Rainbow Storytime is a chance to hear books about acceptance, diversity, inclusion and being kind, play some fun games and meet some fabulous drag queens with plenty of colours and glitter! Open to children of all ages.
Living Library is designed around learning about how the duo became Erika & Coco, how they identify and is a chance to ask any questions you have about the LGBTQIA+ community.
Community Investment Fund Panel vacancies
Nelson City Council is seeking four community members to join its Community Investment Fund Panel to allocate community investment funding.
If this sounds like something you would like to be involved in, or if you would like to nominate someone, we’d love to hear from you.
Nominations close on 5 May 2021
The panel meets several times a year to decide on the allocation of funding to community groups for activities that increase our community’s wellbeing and help some of its most vulnerable members.
We are especially seeking people with experience working with the more vulnerable and diverse communities in Nelson.
The panel meets up to four times a year to consider applications, and panel members may claim meeting fees to compensate for their time.
For nomination / application forms or further information see nelson.govt.nz/community-investment-funding, or contact Paul Prestidge at [email protected] or 022 6761409.
Nominations close on 5 May 2021.
