If you have a great idea for telling people about Nelson’s heritage, Nelson City Council would like to hear it.
4 weeks, each 3 hours in duration.
We start with discussion on nutrition, food labelling, extending meals, portion sizes, followed by a demo of one of the recipes in the 50 page recipe book provided. Then we cook one or two of them and enjoy lunch together. All for FREE !!
Committment to the 4 sessions is required unless there is an appointment that can’t be avoided.
Sometime after the classes end we usually meet up at a cafe which is enjoyable.
Contact Sally if you’re interested. (info on the flyer) Class size is limited to 12 people.
These classes are not for you if you are primarily looking for new ideas.
They are aimed at those who are lacking motivation to cook healthy meals, maybe needing a little more confidence and a few more skills. Mostly our people live on their own, but this is not a requirement.
The course is designed by the Nutrition Foundation in Auckland and brought to you with support from the Nelson City Council, Countdown Supermarket and the Rata Foundation.
We hold these courses about 3 times a year so if you can’t make this one please contact Sally anyway to express your interest for the next ones.
