Tasman District Libraries are starting a new and nimble initiative – the Pop-Up Library! The Pop-Up Library is an interactive installation that will appear at various locations and events across the Tasman region. Essentially, it's role is to take the library to the people.
Dr Catherine Knight will be speaking on “Nature and Wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand - Exploring the Connection” which is also the name of her most recent book. The event is a combined Save the Maitai Valley, Nelson Science Society and Page and Blackmore event.

Nelson City Council are trialling waste minimisation grants to support community-led projects to avoid or reduce waste, which may be of interest to your organisation or other organisations or groups you work with.
4 weeks, each 3 hours in duration. We start with discussion on nutrition, food labelling, extending meals, portion sizes, followed by a demo of one of the recipes in the 50 page recipe book provided. Then we cook one or two of them and enjoy lunch together. All for FREE !! Committment to the 4 sessions is required unless there is an appointment that can't be avoided.
