This programme is designed to enable participants to develop more awareness of their cultural characteristics and those of others so they can communicate more effectively across cultural boundaries. It focuses on using effective communication to build the kinds of relationships that will lead to effective interaction in the workplace, throughout the community.
Alzheimers Nelson runs monthly support groups for carers of people with dementia. We also run a variety of social groups for people living with dementia, for those with early memory loss and a monthly morning coffee group. We also run a Library Drop-in Clinic providing Dementia information and advice. If you are interested in joining, please get in touch with us to find a group / service most suitable for you.

Alzheimers Nelson also runs three monthly social coffee mornings for people with dementia and their care partners in Nelson, Richmond and Motueka.
There are additional social groups for people living with dementia and those with early memory loss, as well as online zoom meetings for those unable to meet in person. Dates and times vary so please contact us if you would like to participate.
