Free Computer classes at Richmond Library

Yeah! - Free Computer classes are back at Richmond Library. Create a photobook for family, demystify TradeMe or learn how to use Facebook. All classes are small informal groups where there is plenty of hands on practice and question time. These great introductory computer classes are available again from August.

Looking for office desks

We're looking for two smallish rectangular desks in good condition, one to share with Supporting Families as a hot desk, and the other for our office at Volunteer Nelson. If you have any to sell or donate we'd love to hear from you.

Are you looking for a job for 5 plus hours a week?

If you are looking for a paid position within our community and have a health condition or disability that has impacted you for 6 months or more [email protected] is the person to get in touch with.

Alzheimers Nelson Carer Support and Social Groups

Alzheimers Nelson runs monthly support groups for carers of people with dementia. We also run a variety of social groups for people living with dementia, for those with early memory loss and a monthly morning coffee group. We also run a Library Drop-in Clinic providing Dementia information and advice. If you are interested in joining, please get in touch with us to find a group / service most suitable for you.

Next Governance Round Table session – Boards Getting Real About Strategy

The next installment of Governance Round Table will be in person back at NMIT on Tues 4 August, 5.15pm - 7.15pm. The topic for this session is 'Boards Getting Real About Strategy'. This session will be led by Garth Nowland-Foreman, an experienced trainer and facilitator, and non-profit governance expert. Garth is a director of the LEAD Centre for Not for Profit Governance & Leadership.
