Free entry level suicide prevention training workshops suitable for anyone who wants to be better equipped to prevent suicide and have supportive conversations within their communities.
The LifeKeepers team at Le Va, the national suicide prevention training programme, are funded by the Ministry of Health to provide free suicide prevention training to communities across New Zealand. LifeKeepers will be delivering two free workshops in Nelson at the end of February:
Tuesday 25th February, Mana Akiaki: LifeKeepers for Māori (designed for Māori communities)
Wednesday 26th February, LifeKeepers (suited for a general audience)
All the details of the workshop are on the attached flyers. The training is suitable for anyone who wants to be better equipped to prevent suicide and have supportive conversations within their communities. It is an entry level suicide prevention training programme and has been designed for those who might not otherwise have access to funded suicide prevention training but may come into contact with people at risk of suicide.
