Adult Learning Support will be trialling a free drop in session on Fridays between 10am - midday, starting Friday 3 march. This is an opportunity for people to get help with things like, completing a job application, filling out a form, writing up a new CV, practising for their Learner's Driver Licence test, getting some help with computing skills, or sharpening up their maths, reading or writing skills. No need to make an appointment, just drop in!
Our well-respected job seeking course is back. Do you know anybody who needs help searching for a job? Work Fit is for them.
This free 10 week course gives people the skills they need to get a job. They’ll identify their skills. Write a cover letter and CV. Apply for jobs online. Practice interviews. All with a supportive group of coursemates at their back.
Work Fit is for you if:
- you’re just coming out of school and don’t know what skills you have
- you’ve had enough of working a hard physical job
- you’re coming back to work after being a full-time mum.
It starts on 31 July, and runs 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 10am to 2pm. The classes are small, which mean you get the support you need to make real progress.
