The regions finest youth musicians return to the stage for a dose of bass thumping, drum pumping live music to warm you up this winter.
NZ music month may be almost over, but the music still plays on. Rock the South returns to Nelson’s Theatre Royal on Friday 8 June, 7pm, with an all-ages music gig featuring nine of the regions hottest up and coming youth bands performing live on stage.
Regional Smoke Free Rockquest winners The Recliners (Nayland College) will be joined on stage by fellow Rockquest finalists Blind Eye, Acoustic Knot, Shut Up Connor (Waimea College), and Equinox (Nelson College for Girls). Rounding out the line-up is 1024 (Nelson Boys College), Ellie and Laura (Waimea College), 3’s a Crowd (Nayland College) and Finding Sam, who won Rockquest last year as IVASA.
Tickets are just $5 and are available from Ticket Direct online, or at the Theatre Royal Box Office. Door sales ($10) may be available on the night, but highly unlikely with a lineup this epic so get in early to avoid the disappointment of missing out.
