This programme is designed to enable participants to develop more awareness of their cultural characteristics and those of others so they can communicate more effectively across cultural boundaries. It focuses on using effective communication to build the kinds of relationships that will lead to effective interaction in the workplace, throughout the community.
Laugh Nelson returns, with an evening jam packed full of live stand up comedy and improvised theatre sports skits for young people to giggle along with.
Jack Ansett is a fresh face on the New Zealand stand up comedy scene and is a young comedian who is on the rise. At the age of 16 he was a 2015 Raw Quest Finalist and has been a regular performer at the NZ International Comedy Festival ever since. Jack has dipped his toes in background writing work for TV 3 shows 7 Days and Family Feud and is busy boy on the Auckland standup comedy circuit.
In support, a stellar cast of young, up and coming funny people with performances from the Nelson Boys College, Nelson College for Girls, Garin College and Motueka High School theatre sports teams.
Laugh Nelson is made possible thanks to support from Nelson City Council and Ara Taiohi. The comedy show is suitable for 14-24 year olds and is free to attend. Seats are strictly limited so reserve your ticket and get ready to laugh out loud!
