Nelson City Council has some used office furniture that is surplus to requirements and is making it available for free to local community groups. Some office chairs, desks and filing cabinets are avialable and there may be some shelves.If your community group is interested in viewing what is available please email [email protected] to arrange a time to view, or if you have any other related queries. Furniture will be available to view between 30th of January and the 3rd of February. Nelson City Council will deliver the furniture to your organisation.

Driven, resourceful and determined, Daniel Flynn is one of Australia’s most successful entrepreneurs under the age of 30. He is the founder and managing director of the social enterprise Thankyou, which has given more than $5.5 million to help end global poverty. Thankyou’s 50 products are stocked by major retailers in Australia and 100 per cent of profits go to funding water, sanitation, food and child and maternal health projects around the world.
Daniel Flynn will share the story of how Thankyou challenged the system, and continues to challenge the way business has been done to see the realisation of an idea and belief that we all have the power to change stuff.
