Hi There - The IHC One to One Friendship Volunteer Programme is currently looking for volunteers from the community to be matched in a friendship with people with intellectual disabilities living in Stoke and in the Richmond region. If you have or if you know of anyone (over the age of 17) that would make a great friend, please get in touch with Jane Peoples today. The intake process consists of an interview, 2 referee checks, police vetting with full orientation, training and on going support is provided. A truly rewarding volunteer option for those out there who have an hour or so that they could share with someone with ID. Look forward to hearing from you! Thank you, Jane (027 8360342)
Parenting Through Separation is a short course available for parents who are going through separation. It is fully funded by the Ministry of Justice and facilitated by Barnardos.
Parents attend separate groups. There are two sessions, each two hours long, usually held over two consecutive weeks in Richmond. In Motueka or Takaka both parts are completed in one day.
Check out our course schedule for upcoming dates and times and submit an enrolment form to register.
