Adult Learning Support will be trialling a free drop in session on Fridays between 10am - midday, starting Friday 3 march. This is an opportunity for people to get help with things like, completing a job application, filling out a form, writing up a new CV, practising for their Learner's Driver Licence test, getting some help with computing skills, or sharpening up their maths, reading or writing skills. No need to make an appointment, just drop in!
The Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS) provides government funded grants to support voluntary and not-for-profit organisations working in local communities and neighbourhoods. The COGS Distribution Committee (LDC) is holding public meetings to identify funding priorities for the coming year.
Representatives of community organisations are invited to meet the people who make funding decisions at the local COGS public meeting.
At the meeting you can:
- have a say about your community funding needs and priorities
- hear a report from the LDC Chair on the 2016/17 funding decisions
- find out more about COGS funding
