Developing meaningful roles for volunteers
A half day workshop facilitated by Rob Jackson from the UK.
Developing roles for volunteers is an aspect of volunteer management that gets little attention compared to the more popular topics of recruitment and selection. Yet without well designed, meaningful and motivating volunteer roles, it is often much harder to get and keep volunteers. This workshop will provide a method – and outline the key issues to consider – for developing such volunteer roles.
The workshop will be followed by a light lunch and the opportunity to network with other Volunteer Managers.
This is a professional development opportunity for volunteer managers across the Top of the South.
For those of you who didn’t get the opportunity to meet with Rob Jackson during his 2015 NZ tour, Rob is one of the leading authorities on volunteering in the world. Rob has helped shape the strategic direction for Volunteering England as well as writing, speaking and training on volunteer programme management for over 20 years.
