Arthritis can affect anybody, anytime and at any age. Our aim is to improve the life of every person affected by arthritis and we are looking for your help to make our Annual Appeal a great success.
Our Annual Appeal collections fall on the 22nd and 23rd September 2017 and it’s one of the most important times of the year for us.
Arthritis New Zealand relies on the support of our volunteers to make this week a huge success and there are many ways in which you can help:
– Collect donations in a shopping mall, on the street or door-to-door.
– Encourage fundraising in your family, community groups, workplace or school.
– Coordinate fellow volunteers or distribute materials.
Even a couple of hours go a long way and, as a volunteer, you’ll raise public awareness and crucial funds for the benefit of those who have one (or more) of the 140+ types of arthritis.
Volunteering really is a great way to meet like-minded people, have fun and share your support for the 620,000+ New Zealanders who have a diagnosis of, and live with, the chronic pain of arthritis. Last year our volunteers raised over $170,000 from our Annual Appeal and we’d love do even more in 2017.
If you think you can spare some of your time in September and be a part of something great, please feel free contact me anytime.
We look forward to working with all our volunteers.
