At the meeting on Thursday 2 June 2017, the Community Services Committee approved Nelson City Council’s draft Youth Strategy for community feedback and we are now seeking your views.
The Youth Strategy is intended to identify young people’s needs, set a clear direction for Council, find partners to work with and guide future support for youth development and activities.
Your feedback will help inform the final draft that goes back to Council for adoption. The Council will also be given a copy of all feedback to consider at this time. Feedback on the draft is open from 6 June – 30 June 2017. Please note that all feedback will be public information.
You can find a copy of the draft Youth Strategy online at nelson.govt.nz/youthstrategy, at any of Nelson’s three public libraries and at Council’s Customer Services Centre.
Shanine Raggett, Manager Community Partnerships, and myself will be holding a drop in information session for those of you who wish to discuss the draft in person. At this meeting we will also provide an outline of the process to date and let you know what happens next. This meeting will be held on Friday 16 June from 10- 11am in the Nelson City Council Chamber. Please ask at Customer Services if you need directions to the Chamber.
You can also tell us what you think online via the Council website, or directly to Gabrielle Thorpe – Policy Adviser – [email protected] – 03 5460305 – P.O Box 645 Nelson 7040. Or drop your feedback to the Customer Service Centre or into your local library.
Please note that all feedback will be public information.
