Women’s Advocate Position Available at Whakatu Refuge

30 hours per week

Are you passionate about the wellbeing and safety of women and their children?
If so, we have a vacancy in our dedicated team working with women and children who experience domestic violence.

If you possess the following attributes then we would like to hear from you:
• Experience working with abused, stressed women and their children
• Understanding of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Clear analysis of domestic violence and understanding of a feminist philosophy
• Clear professional boundaries
• Non-judgemental manner
• Extensive social services experience or relevant degree
• Living violence free for a minimum of 2 years
• Highly motivated team player
• This position is subject to a Police check
