World Hepatitis Awareness Day – 28 July

28 July is World Hepatitis Awareness Day and aims to spread awareness and support for those suffer from this illness.

Hepatitis is a virus that causes inflammation of the liver. About 150,000 New Zealanders live with chronic hepatitis B or C. The Hepatitis Foundation of New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve health outcomes for those New Zealanders living with chronic hepatitis B or C.
