This year Privacy Awareness Week runs 3-9 May. Privacy Week is the annual occasion to promote the importance of privacy.
The Chameleon is this year’s Privacy Week mascot. It is an animal that protects its privacy by changing its appearance. The Chameleon is a metaphor for how we should take care online and protect against giving away too much of our personal information to businesses and third parties that we don’t know and maybe don’t trust.
The Privacy Commission will be running three workshops as part of Privacy Week.
