Safeguarding Children will be presenting a “mini” seminar in Riwaka School on Tuesday March 17th from 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Usually SCI’s “mini” seminar is exclusive to a specific closed group but we are fortunate to be able to open it up to the public and invite you to come along.
The numbers of attendees at the seminar will be an indication for us whether there is demand for a shorter seminar as well as the longer 5 hour “Level 1” seminar.
If you have always wanted to attend the seminar but you have limited time this could be the seminar for you.
This 2 hours seminar will include:
- How to recognize signs of abuse and neglect
- What to do, who to go to, your role, dilemmas
- Child protection policies, what they are and why
- Privacy Act demystified
Cost: Free – koha/donations welcome. Tea / coffee & afternoon tea provided.
