Treaty of Waitangi workshops at Elma Turner Library 17/ 18 Feb, 2015
The Iwi of Te Tauihu (Top of the South) have come to the end of their historical Treaty Settlements. Elma Turner Library will hold three workshops, to provide an opportunity to find out about the process and the outcomes – entry by koha.
The workshops will look at the Treaty Settlements from a central and local government perspective and with an overview of the history and the tools available to help the wider community understand the implications of Treaty Settlement for them. Guest speakers will be present at each workshop.
The workshops, of special interest to iwi, councillors, teachers and community leaders, but open to all will be at the following times at Elma Turner Library:
Tues 17 – 9.30am-11.30am;
Weds 18 – 12.30pm-2.30pm;
Weds 18 – 3pm-5pm.
