Job Vacancy Supported Employment Consultant 12 month contract

WORKSTAR is an established employment agency specialising in delivering employment solutions to employers, and professional support to people who experience barriers to employment as a result of their disability.

We work with people in the Nelson Tasman region with psychiatric, intellectual, physical or sensory disability and annually help over 100 people to find productive, paid work.

We are looking for an energetic, outgoing and savvy person with amazing people skills who will be able to:

  •  Work with people who manage a disability to find and keep work by actively market their strengths and skills so they can find the right job for them and then to give on-going support for employment issues.
  • Work with employers to learn what the skills and abilities they need in their workforce and present clients that can do the job well.
  • Support clients while they are in work with orientation, work trials, coaching and ongoing support.

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in enabling people who manage a disability to participate in the paid workforce. Experience in career practice or recruitment is preferred.  This is a 12 month contract thanks to the generous funding from Pub Charity.
