Yoga, Pilates & Taoist Tai Chi Courses

These course are available at the Victory Community Centre as part of the Victory on the Move Programme.


Pilates

This is a 7 week introduction to Pilates that teaches you about breathing with movement, body mechanics, balance, co-ordination, positioning of the body, spatial awareness, strength and flexibility.

DAY, DATE, & TIME: Monday, 19th MAY to 7th JULY;  5.30 – 6.30 pm COST: $42 AGE: 16+ VENUE: Victory Community Centre NOTE: NO SESSIONS 2nd JUNE

Yoga

Run as an 7 week course, you will learn and practice yoga poses to develop better posture, release tension and improve your flexibility and strength. Awareness of your breath will lead to an increased sense of calm and well being, a useful tool for everyday life situations.  This course is suitable for ongoing beginners.

DAY, DATE, & TIME: Wednesday, 14th MAY to 9th JULY; 5.30 – 6.50 pm COST: $45.50

Taoist Tai Chi

An Introduction to Tai Chi, this is a gentle form of exercise which will improve your health, flexibility, and balance. It is very relaxing and is suitable for people of all ages.

DAY, DATE & TIME: Tuesday 20th May to 24th June; 4:30 – 6 pm

AGE: 16+ VENUE: Victory Community Centre COST: $12.00 p/Person for the course
