Volunteer Nelson is looking to recruit new Board members to support its work in and around the Nelson Tasman region. We need people who,
- Are passionate about volunteering and community engagement
- Want to be actively involved in the ongoing development of a dynamic community organisation
- Are forward thinking, progressive and able to think outside the square
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Are committed and motivated
- Welcome diversity
The Volunteer Nelson Board meets once a month (usually the third Wed of the month) for 1.5 – 2 hours from 5.30pm, with occasional additional meetings between times as required. There is also work to be done between times in preparation for the meeting and in following up on actions discussed. Board members are asked to commit 5-8 hours a month to ensure they remain well engaged in the work of the centre. All Board members are volunteers.
We are in particular need of an active treasurer but we also need people who may have knowledge and experience in legal matters and Moaritanga. However, we’d love to hear from anyone who’d like to get involved no matter what their experience.
Contact Mary Curnow, Chair of Board on 021 024 09488 or firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
