Nelson Community & Whanau Network:
The Community & Whanau (C&W) Network meetings are an opportunity for staff and volunteers from community organisations to get together on a monthly basis. These meetings provide a forum where issues, ideas or projects of interest can be raised and discussed, and valuable information, ideas and strategies shared.
Volunteer Nelson administers the monthly Nelson meetings, which are usually held on the second Wednesday of the month from noon to 1.30pm. An exception is July, when the meeting will be held on the 19th instead. Everyone is welcome; simply bring your lunch and a gold coin koha towards meeting costs. The regular venue is the Trafalgar Pavilion, Trafalgar Park off Trafalgar Street – the big rugby venue, with grateful thanks to the Nelson City Council for its support.

There are also Community & Whanau Network meetings in Golden Bay, Richmond and Motueka.
- The Richmond meeting is on the THIRD TUESDAY of each month, contact coordinator Wendy Duffy at Age Concern email@example.com, ph 544 7624.
- The Motueka meeting is on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each month, contact coordinator Rae Dozell, firstname.lastname@example.org.
- The Golden Bay meetings are generally on the LAST TUESDAY of the month, coordinator Wendy Earle at Heartlands, Takaka.

Managers of Volunteers’ Network:
Volunteer Nelson also runs biannual networking meetings for those who coordinate volunteers in organisations that involve volunteers – whether they are volunteers themselves or paid staff. These network meetings are usually timed around major annual events such as National Volunteering Week in June and International Volunteer Managers Day on 5 November.
